Once upon a time, in the heart of the American South, a clandestine network of resilient souls sought freedom's embrace.

Guided by the North Star's gentle glow and the haunting melodies of ancestral lullabies, they journeyed towards liberation. Among them, a humble artifact whispered tales of defiance: the Drinking Gourd.

The Drinking Gourd wasn't just any gourd; it was a simple hollowed-out vessel used by enslaved Black people as a guide to freedom. Hidden in plain sight, it was a secret map passed from hand to hand, promising sanctuary and sustenance for those brave enough to follow its guidance.

The name "Drinking Gourd" also held another meaning. It referred to the constellation known as the Big Dipper, which, when seen in the night sky, pointed the way north to freedom. Enslaved people sang songs about following the Drinking Gourd, using it as a code to plan their escape routes.

Today, the legacy of the Drinking Gourd lives on in Dreamin' Gourd.

Dreamin' Gourd honors the traditions of Black indigenous folk practices, weaving dreams into the fabric of community. Our digital sanctuary fosters collective healing, where dreams are like collages, knit together with ancestral wisdom. Just as lullabies are songs of solace, our dreams carry echoes of the past, guiding us towards intuition and connection with our ancestors.

Welcome to Dreamin' Gourd, where dreams are stitched into the tapestry of our collective journey, and the spirit of the Drinking Gourd guides us toward liberation and empowerment.
